  • Maximum of 10 riders

  • Plenty of one-on-one guidance to help you

  • Understand how to ‘read’ your horse so you can better assess their behaviour

  • These clinics are typically a half day clinic from 8:30am to 12pm

The price for a clinic is $120 with your own horse. If you'd like to use an Anstead Acres horse please enquire.

This is a great way to get back into riding, either on your horse or on one of our safe and educated horses.

Working Equitation Obstacle Clinic

Obstacles are a very important part of the working equitation competition with two of the possible four phases being built around the use of these obstacles.  The stylised obstacles are designed to reflect the activities the horse and rider would perform during a normal working day on the land.

The phases of working equitation competitions display the suitability of the horse, and allow the rider to showcase the training and control of the horse.

During this clinic, as well as receiving guidance on how to approach and support your horse through the different obstacles, there will be plenty of opportunity for you to familiarise yourself with these types of obstacles used in working equitation.

After lunch we will have time for you to compete the course whilst being timed, so you can compete against yourself to improve your skills over the afternoon.

Over the past 30 years of using horses every day in his work Chris has an incredible insight into the horse as well as the rider.

Kids Activities

Kids Horse Care Program Level 1

This is an entry level program for children with a love of horses but have little or no experience around horses.  A fantastic opportunity to be introduced to our equine friends in a safe and fully supervised environment.

This program runs as a 9-week block. Every session is a combination of instruction and hands-on experience designed to teach your child to be comfortable and confident around horses.

The program will equip your child with basic skills to care for, understand and interact safely with a horse. The last session of the program will see your child put their new skills into practice by preparing a horse to be ridden. In this session the kids will have their first riding lesson on the horses they have prepared.

So we can tailor the instruction to suit the experience and ability of your child, we have split the program into two age groups on two different days.

Tuesday Program

  • 4pm to 5.30pm

  • Suited to children aged 10 to 14

  • Cost is $315 for the entire term

Wednesday Program

  • 3.30pm to 4.30pm

  • Suited to children aged 6 to 9

  • Cost is $270 for the entire term
