Anstead Acres hosts events suited to riders with their own horses of all experience levels. We love sharing our facilities and equipment with like minded people who enjoy learning with their horses. We are a float friendly property so why not come along with a friend or two and enjoy an event.

Horse & Rider Events
Evening Poles Sessions (4 riders per group)
Our poles sessions help to develop coordination, balance, strength and flexibility in your horse. Join a lovely group of like minded riders to navigate our poles set ups with your equine partner. Set up so you can do your own workout.
Session times: 5.00pm, 6.00pm, 7.00pm.
Evening Troop Drill
Come along and join us for a lot of fun and laughter whilst we learn and practice a short troop drill with our horses. Troop drills are a wonderful way to work on coordination, communication, and horsemanship skills with your horse. Coaching included.
Session Time: 6.00pm to 7.30pm.

Monthly Groundwork Sessions
Our monthly groundwork sessions are for riders keen to expand their groundwork and horsemanship skills whilst increasing their connection with their horse.
These sessions are small and can include exercises out of the arena expanding the learning opportunities and environments for horse and rider. We have scheduled these on the 1st Wednesday morning of each month to enable your, and your horse's education, to be regular and consistent.

Obstacle Session
Obstacles are a great way to assess the trust and quality of the relationship and communication between you and your horse.
The goal isn't to complete the obstacle no matter what, but to complete what you can with a willingly guided horse. Exposure, whilst maintaining and building your horses confidence, is a great goal in itself.
There are a variety of obstacles set up with new ones introduced every session; many of the high-end obstacles used in working equitation and ranch. These sessions are not like clinics as there is freedom to work on these obstacles at a pace that suits you and your horse with only a few riders (or a horsey friend group) in the working area at one time. Come along, bring a friend or two and book your 2 hour session.
